A Medley of Beano Characters
26th September 2011

My rendition of some special comic characters that I grew up with. It's probably scandalous to deviate away from their original designs as much as I did, but just think of this as my personal tribute!
From left to right and top to bottom: Dennis the Menace, Ivy the Terrible, Minnie the Minx, Pansy Potter, Roger the Dodger and Billy Whizz.
The British comic industry is slowly dwindling away which is just heartbreaking; so if you live in the UK, do try your best to buy a copy of the Beano and the Dandy whenever you can. You'll find that that they're just as good as ever!
Home Grown
14th September 2011

There's a guest comic drawn by yours truly over at The Carrotty Kid web site at the moment! The Carrotty Kid is a wonderfully crisp creation devised by Andy Fanton. He's a professional artist, and when he's not drawing anthropomorphic vegetables you'll find him drawing brilliant comics for The Dandy! Go visit his personal web site and say hello!

Star Trek: The Next Generation
6th August 2011

A short three part comic that I started about half a year ago and have been gradually working on over time. I hope you enjoy it!
I'm not a Trekker, so please excuse inaccuracies with uniforms, dialogue and William Riker's beard. I grew up with Star Trek: The Next Generation so it has a special place in my heart!
Shantae
6th June 2011

Fan art of Shantae! I'm one of the few people who owns the original Shantae game for the GameBoy Color. I'm really looking forward to playing Risky's Revenge when the eShop launches on the Nintendo 3DS tomorrow!
Drawn completely digitally, no paper here; which I think is a first!
Britannia
23rd April 2011

Britannia is the ancient Latin name for what's known as the British Isles today. In the 2nd century the Romans personified Britannia as goddess wearing a centurion's helmet.
This is my rendition of her, she's not looking too bad for a gal that's nearly 2000 years old. Sorry that she's dressed so scantily though; truth be told, I'm just not very good at drawing cloth!
Britannia appears on various memorabilia, statues, political cartoons and most notably on the back of the 50p coin - from which she's just been removed after 300 years. That makes me sad!
Today is Saint George's day, England's oft-forgotten national day. England makes up only a single part of Britannia, but I thought I'd draw something a little patriotic.

Babydoll, Sucker Punch
28th February 2011

Taking a quick break to draw something just for the fun of it! I've not inked anything traditionally for ages, so it'll stop me from getting rusty.
It's a drawing of Babydoll from the upcoming movie "Sucker Punch". I don't particularly know anything about the movie; it's just on the cover of a magazine in the living room, haha!
Samus Aran
12th September 2010

Quick fan art of Samus from Metroid: Other M, I really enjoyed the game.
I used the character sheet from the game's gallery mode as reference for the suit, and the background is derivative from a screenshot.
Zero Suit Samus character design property of TECMO/Team NINJA and Nintendo. Metroid and all respective names are trademark Nintendo. No copyright infringement intended.
Momohime
21st July 2010

Fan art based on the Wii game "Muramasa: The Demon Blade".
I've wanted to draw something related to this game for a while now, I think I started this back in November! Muramasa is definitely on my list of favourite games of all time. The 2D artwork and animation featured in the game is astoundingly lush. Along with the upbeat and haunting soundtrack the game feels really atmospheric, I love that!
Supposedly the main premise of the game is to collect the many legendary blades; but in reality, it's to scoff as much food as inhumanly possible! You repeatedly visit eateries and blow all your money on food. When traveling you're encouraged to cook your own food, and even in the midst of battle eating restores heath. The amount of food that gets eaten during the game is vast!
To make matters worse; Momohime's body is possessed by the spirit of Jinkuro, so she doesn't even get any say in the binge eating! That thin porcelain figure isn't going to stay around long after downing the 20th consecutive bowl of fried tempura!

Professor Yoh
20th May 2009

Fan art of Professor Yoh, the latest blonde beauty to come from renowned manga artist Leiji Matsumoto (creator of Galaxy Express 999 and Space Battleship Yamato).
"Out of Galaxy Koshika" is only available digitally through the Japanese WiiWare service at the moment (where I've been reading it). I hope that I'm not alienating myself too much by making fan art of such a relatively unknown character! There wasn't even any fan art on pixiv which really surprised me, this pretty lady requires your loving attention! Regardless, I have no doubt that you'll see a lot more of the series in the future. An anime adaptation has already been announced! (Woo!)
Out of Galaxy Koshika and related characters are property of Leiji Matsumoto [松本 零士], Sunsoft Books. No copyright infringement intended.
Harley Quinn
5th February 2009

Everybody's favourite psychotic psychiatrist! ♡
This originated from a tiny doodle, about an inch in size and barely even recognisable as Harley. It's been lying around for a while and eventually it charmed me enough to recreate it in large scale. I made a version that was a little more detailed and fully shaded, but I prefer this simplistic one a lot more.
Harley Quinn was created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm. Batman and related characters are property of DC Comics, Warner Bros. Entertainment.

Some patriotic fanart created for the webcomic 'The unfeasible adventures of Beaver and Steve' by James Turner. Beaver and Steve in an reenactment of Saint George and the Dragon.
