Louistrations

An art collaboration with my friend Artie; she drew the original pencil drawing and I created the lineart and coloured the piece. Artie made my character Chipper look so delicate and floaty, I love it!

It's finally finished, woo! This is a request made as a prize for being my 100th watcher on DeviantArt. I had a lot of creative freedom over what to draw, he requested something either Victorian or steam punk and I ended up doing a little bit of both.

I had a lot of fun making this, but to be honest I think I was overly ambitious which was detrimental - a lot of the time I felt too daunted to even work on it! I've worked on it on and off for several months so it has a long history; it was inked traditionally, the characters went through a lot of alterations and just recently I had the opportunity to work on the colouring while traveling on a train!

The characters are original but I don't intend to use them again. Please feel free to think of your own names and backstories explaining why they're riding so recklessly on the front of a moving train!

Just a brief note to say that I'm going to be removing my old websites (pre 2003) from the internet. These sites are so antiquated that they keep breaking and no longer display correctly in modern web browsers.

The websites affected include Holly, Charcoal and The Terrafirmapin. The content from these websites are in the process of being integrated into the main Louistrations website.

Look at these dinky lil' Chipper badges that I had made to give out to people at the Aya Revolution convention.

The badges are from Wee Badgers who give really incredible service. Like, really incredible! I created my order at 10pm in the evening and they were made and sent by the morning; They arrived the following day!

Quite a momentous occasion, this is the first time that Harriet has had a comic strip completely to herself!

Yay, it's Chipper! And she brought her underling with her this time!

I'm sorry that it's been awhile since Chipper's last appearance, this picture has been a long time coming. I've been working on this piece on and off for several months now; in fact, I started work on this way back in December! So if it feels a little wintery, you'll know why!

There isn't really much I can say about this; it's Chipper, and she's sat on a post box. Admittedly though, there's something quite enchanting about trying to make the mundane into something beautiful!
